Yes, for sure. Well said, Sabrina. I realized after I pressed "publish" that these were the sentiments that I wish I elaborated more on. So thank you for brilliantly sharing them here!
(1) I was putting all this blame, guilt, and shame on my "detour" because I wanted all the things "done" and figured out "by now". And it was in the moment when I let go and trusted my intuition that things started piecing together faster than if I logically and methodically thought it through with my mind.
(2) And that's the thing... even those we think have it all "figured out" are also going through these continual evolutions and challenges, too. You're not "done" once you "figure it out". You discover that next ledge to climb. This is just a part of the entrepreneurial journey no matter what stage you're in.
(3) You can't rush people through anything they're not ready for. So you can only hold space, and kindly reach your hand out until they choose to finally do something about it.
Yup, yup. Fun times ahead! Glad to be on this journey together, Sabrina.
Congrats, Kat, on your breakthrough and downloads! That's awesome! Sometimes the detours on the path become The Path and we won't know for sure until we go down that road. Sounds like fun! Thanks for sharing your journey with us!
Thanks so much, Lotus Empress. Yah, our initial impressions of a "detour" might be what we needed to find our way back to our actual Path! What you said was so true, and yup, it's been fun!
Kat, I have to say this again (am sure you would recall me having said this before), this again felt like someone is talking to me:) Can not help saying this
I am where probably you were few weeks or months back. High uncertainty, insecurity if this would work (reference to security blanket just hit home), too much to do in too little time kind of feeling, and then being frozen once in a while because of all this.
Super write up
You did make me curious about magic of @DonnaBlevins
Awww, big hugs to you, Tariq. I totally get the stage you're in, and to be honest, you'll encounter those same feels again and again in your entrepreneurial journey. You'll learn how to manage these emotional and mental states better and better over time.
Glad what I shared resonated, and hope it gives you some insight and inspiration of what you can do to help you get through your current state.
Yah, reach out to @DonnaBlevins! And also let me know how I can help as well.
YOU GOT THIS!! Keep taking those inspired actions one step at a time.
But the how and what are now even in closer alignment with my Work Vision than before, and it’s coming together even better than I originally planned!"
Sharing this piece of your journey will help your students and followers. We can try as hard as we might to control the how, but the how will shift and change, but the vision - it will always stay anchored inside of you.
Awww, thanks so much, Maria! I appreciate you for calling that part out.
My Work Vision keeps being the thing that saves me and guides me in moments like these. And when I start manifesting parts of my vision, it's SUPER exciting~ You're right. My Work Vision is anchored so deep and clearly in me that I can feel it without needing to read it.
Congratulations, Kat! And thank you for being so vulnerable to share your journey so that we can all learn and be inspired by you!
The need to keep moving forward, stay accountable, hit targets, and follow rules can come in the way of listening to deeper, inner wisdom.
So fantastic that you found sometime to help you unlock and hear your wife’s voice! You are so talented. I can’t wait to see what this pivot brings into the world!
Thank you so much, Kathy! I really appreciate all your kind words. It's comments like yours that encourage me to stay vulnerable and accountable to share my experience and learnings, too.
It's been so transformational listening and trusting my inner wisdom. My old tendencies can still surface, but that wise, soothing voice has been super helpful to parse out what to do next.
I love how open and vulnerable you are sharing all these soul-fuelled moments Kat! Reading your story resonates so much because we're following a path we're creating as we go. There are detours and roadblocks and we're sometimes alone and sometimes being guided and we can feel lost and also find our way and see a light through the tunnel. It's a fun ride. And the reminder to trust that inner guide to align us is very soothing.
Congrats Kat on shifting the gears with @DonnaBlevins and turning the corner on your idea.
Your story reminds me that "Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes." - Mahatma Gandhi
I'm interested in seeing where this next chapter of your entrepreneurial journey takes you 👊🏻
Aww, thanks so much, Brad. I appreciate you subscribing and leaving such an encouraging message, too. Looking forward to more comments from you~
Yes! What a great quote. I haven't heard of that one before, and definitely noting that down for when I need that reminder in the future.
This is so much fun kat! I'm realising the pivots and wait-a-mintues are part of the journey, not a hindrance to the journey.
What we find easy or haven't fleshed out yet for others leads to impatience sometimes.
That's when we can get discouraged because we can't get our big picture for others written down fast enough.
We know it will help them but it has to be created.
Then a new shiny thing appears or we're told to do it another way and hold ourselves back again.
All part of the process. We don't need to rush people through our solutions.
But rather help them find the middle ground that's faster than we learnt it but not so fast it becomes a blur.
Fun times 💜🌟
