Thanks, Abid! Glad you enjoyed that post and can resonate with that seemingly-relentless guilt trip, too. What have you done that has helped you make peace with that?
I'm trying time boxing, rather unsuccessfully I must add, on various tasks.
If you have the mindset that 1 hr of each day is spent in service to others then it can go a long way to overcoming pressure to be consistent in the grind and reframe your purpose in this world.
Thank you so much, Donna!! I’ll admit that I can get impatient and just want it all now. I can also understand when other areas of life and responsibilities put pressure on you to produce results fast.
…but I’d found rushing only takes me faster to burnout and chasing hacky shortcuts, which cost me more time and money.
It's clear that the fast-food mentality was conditioned into us by technology and the speed of the Internet. Although, I've always wondered how "I want it, and I want it now" was encoded in my DNA 🤣.
But wait! My kickass Mama Peggy was the git-er-done role model decades before The Cable Guy made that phrase popular.
Then, poker taught me how to balance rather than burning out.
➡️ Think too long, think wrong -- vs -- being reactive and snap-calling.
🟰 Staying aware, making conscious decisions, and remaining unattached to the outcome
Kat, thank you so much for giving me the space to draft a post 🤗
Wow Kat what a journey! I do connect with the workaholic mindset and the "shoulds". Love it that you were able to rewrite the script (and literally in the case of "4 posts a month" rather than weekly.!)
Isn’t it so tempting to do what others are doing or follow what the gurus suggest for success? But you’ve gotta “rewrite” it to work for you… else it isn’t sustainable.
Another great post Kat.
Bring our attention back to who is in charge - you or your business.
I can totally relate to guilt for not being online to reply to people.

"Rushing things don’t solve problems. That’s how you create more problems you’ll have to fix down the line."
You been reading my mind, I see, Kat! If there is any thread that is common among entrepreneurs, it is the "need" to rush.
I'm profoundly proud of you. 💞

That’s been the lesson I can no longer ignore.
