It's so hard not to get caught up in the numbers. I, too, have been on a different journey. Thanks for the reminder to write to build a like-minded community.

Biggest hugs to you, Angela! It’s understandable and unavoidable to get caught up in with the numbers sometimes when that’s what others and society try to measure our success and value by.

…but we can choose differently. Choose to set our own metrics for success and set our sights at what matters most to us.

Cheers to different journeys! Celebrating us embracing our own paths! Cheering you on. 😁🎉✨

I love this and totally agree, too. I've definitely found myself caught in the traps of comparisonitis and endlessly scrolling and "consuming" instead of creating, recently, and then lamenting every time I lose subscribers or followers on here or social media. I've been trying to catch myself there and stop feeling shitty about it and instead have been trying to shift more towards a creative space and foster collaboration and build real connections and community and that feels way better. I love being part of your community and I'm super grateful for the insights you share and the way we can all learn from each other!

Awwww, biggest hugs to you and thanks so much, Cassie! So glad you’re here a part of this Soulfueled community, too!! 🤗✨

It takes courage and wisdom to take a step back and reevaluate what you’re doing and figure out how to make it work for you. It’s easy to get caught with the chase and comparisonitis, especially when others are flaunting the success we want for ourselves.

Know that you’re not alone, and that isn’t the only way. We’re here to figure it out together AND on our own terms. I’m cheering you on!

Thank you! Your article truly speaks to the concept of "you MUST hustle," "you must do what the X-Bros do", you must play the numbers game—otherwise you shall stop existing in the digital stratosphere. It's sad but true. I know I have allowed myself to fall into that mindset, and just like you, it left me empty, dis-heartened, and exhausted. I love what you wrote: "Customization is your most powerful leverage" - YES! the more "healty" way of doing the solo/enter/side business way is by CUSTOMIZING to my talents, passions, strengths, and collaboration and community (at least in my case). For everyone else - they get to customize for themselves! And just like you said, on social media for most part we see only the ice-berg of success—we don't see the lack of sleep, isolation, depression, anxiety, etc..(the list keeps going); therefore, I greatly appreciate your honest and authentic way of sharing!

Thank you so much, Magdalena! Glad that resonated and you love what I shared.

That seems to be a common pitfall for anyone with an online business and I admit I struggled with that for a while... until I really just had enough and said "no more". It can still come through at times, then it becomes a reminder to trust in my own path, progress, and pace.

We're all individuals, and it's about recognizing what makes us special versus stuffing down our uniqueness to fit in or jumping on the latest trending bandwagons.

The numbers game is seductive. I had to step back because I was gauging everything by what my numbers were. Major mindset shift.

Thank you for your honesty.
