“The 7 Deadly Entrepreneurial Sins”
A light bulb went off, and I just couldn’t contain my excitement!! I just happened to come up with 7 of them, and thought that would be such a fun name to label these common entrepreneurial pitfalls.
This is what happens when you’re driven in a soulfueled way. Ideas and synchronicities keep lining up for you like “magic.”
I had no idea I was going to write another book this year.
I had no idea what my topic was going to be on.
I had no idea how I was going to get that done within such a short timeframe.
But I’m doing it.
The what and how didn’t turn into excuses for why I shouldn’t
I noticed how these opportunities kept serendipitously falling into place for me, and I went with it.
It is a very different feeling and experience when you surrender and trust that things will all come together somehow, compared to that forceful, stressful energy struggling to make something happen.
Plus, I am blown away by what and how I’m writing this book: I’ve written and rewritten the outline twice, and what showed up on paper has varied and is even better than I had initially planned. This book feels like it is writing itself.
It encapsulates the learnings I’ve been struggling with in the past 1.75 years. I’ve thrown more money, time, and energy at these pitfalls, hoping the “right” mentor can help solve these hurdles for me or guide me through them.
But they didn’t.
I was sold on the dream they shared. There were philosophies and strategies that I absolutely adored. I’ve met wonderful people in their communities. I respect them, but something just felt off… until I finally found those misalignments of their foundational principles and way of being compared to mine.
It was a gut-wrenching feeling like I failed over and over again, wondering, “When will I finally get it right?!”
That’s when I ruthlessly did a culling and shut out all the other influences
When I finally heard myself in that silence, that’s when the answers came, and things completely changed.
Everything has been on an upswing since, and things that no longer align have been quickly fading away. The clarity and confidence I have has soared. No more floundering around trying to “figure it out.” The momentum feels unstoppable with one inspired action after the next.
Am I scared? Yes, but I’m doing it anyways, because my inspiration and drive are greater than my fears and insecurities.
NOW I understand WHY I had to write THIS book at THIS moment in time.
I feel like a Christmas elf busily working behind the scenes as I’ve poured my heart and soul into this, and I’m proud to announce my new book:
Escape the 7 Deadly Entrepreneurial Sins
Avoid these common entrepreneurial pitfalls and build a business you love
WHO IS THIS FOR?
If you are in the early stages of entrepreneurship and concerned with how to make this whole business thing work based on your current life situations…
If you feel burned out, frustrated, and still not getting the results you want…
If you feel like you’ve been learning all this “stuff” but still feel lost and uncertain about what to do…
If your list of should’s, could’s, or would’s is miles long and that’s stressing you out…
Are you open to trying a different, more proactive approach?
Would you be interested in becoming one of my beta readers for my new book?
You’ll be one of the first few people in the world to read it first!
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE TO DO?
You’ll have 3 weeks to go through the entire book, share constructive feedback, and write a testimonial based on your experience.
The read time will be less than 1 hour.
Doing the insightful exercise at the end could take around 1-3 hours, depending on how thorough you want to be.
Writing the feedback + testimonial could take about 20-30 mins, depending on how detailed you are. You’ll be provided a survey to make the whole process simpler and easier for you.
And if you have any questions along the way, I’m only an email away.
HOW WOULD YOU BENEFIT FROM THIS?
When you apply the principles of this book, you will change how you show up going forward. You’ll gain a sense of clarity and confidence in where you’re headed. Decision-making can feel much easier.
For those who complete the book and give me feedback within the 3-week timeframe, you will get to take part in an exclusive workshop that’ll help you deepen what you’ve learned in the book and speed up your results, too.
I have more thank-you bonuses in the works, but they’ll only be revealed to those who sign up. (For those who know me, you know how giving I can be.)
FYI UPDATES (Jan 2025)
I was blown away by all the interests, and had an amazing group of beta readers that helped me take the book to a whole new level. Many of them read the book fairly quickly and some even read it twice cover to cover!
It was wonderful getting to know each of my beta readers, and guiding them through two workshops that helped them (1) complete a thorough end of the year reflection to capture major lessons and insights and then (2) define clear intentions for 2025 and develop a plan that’ll help them prioritize what’s most important to them, even when life gets busy… and they loved it!
I’ve taken some time away from the book so that I could come back to it with a fresh perspective. Not only will I be adding some new insights to enrich the book further, I also renamed the title of the book, too. It’s now:
Outsmarting the Hustle
How to simplify your work, avoid burnout, and build a business you love
I’ll be serializing the book and launching the book, right here on Substack on Fri, March 28!
Excited to share this book with the world oh-so-soon.
P.S. Leading up to it, I’ll share in more detail the 7 Entrepreneurial Sins that drain your energy, stall meaningful progress, and ultimately lead to burnout by keeping you stuck in patterns that sabotage success, instead of fueling sustainable growth. Recognizing these patterns is powerful because it will help you break free and allow you to change the way you work—starting now.
Congrats, Kat! Impressive!
I love your new adventure. Your clarity to what you want and need to do is inspiring.
